LiteCart is a free e-commerce platform founded by swedish web developer T. Almroth. LiteCart is inspired by the best of worlds and what could have been done better in alternative e-commerce solutions. Born out of 7 years of e-commerce consulting.

The name LiteCart stands for simplicity, lightweight and convenience concerning both usage and development. Interfaces should be based on logic and convention. Content should never be more than two clicks away. Code should have a simple but consequent structure.

LiteCart relies on the latest HyperText standard HTML 5, the latest CSS 3 for styling, the amazing jQuery framework for client-side dynamics, and the well popular web scripting language PHP for server-side dynamics.
